Cheese and herb scones

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ bunch parsley
  • n. B. herbs, fresh
  • 150 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 60 g cheese, grated
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 2 egg yolks

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

quick, easy, delicious

Finely chop the parsley. If using other fresh herbs, chop them finely too. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and herbs. Add the sour cream and cheese and knead with a dough hook until you have a firm dough. The dough should no longer be moist. Roll out with a rolling pin and cut out circles using a round glass (diameter as desired) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the scones thinly with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven for approx. 15 minutes (top/bottom heat 200°C or fan oven 180°C). Enjoy the scones with a dip of your choice or just as they are.
