Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 ml milk
  • 5 sheets of gelatin
  • 100 g cheese of your choice (Edam, Gouda, Emmental, Gruyere)
  • 4 tbsp walnuts
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 50 g meat, air-dried (Bündnerfleisch or Bresaola)
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

As a starter or small party snack

Soak the gelatine and then squeeze it out well. Dissolve it in the warmed milk, stir well, and let it cool. Stir in the grated cheese, coarsely chopped nuts, and chopped parsley. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Place the dried meat on cling film, slightly overlapping, to form two rectangles. Spread half of the mixture lengthwise down the center of each rectangle and roll them up using the film as a guide. Wrap the rolls and freeze for about 20 minutes, or refrigerate until the next day. Cut the rolls into approximately 2 cm long pieces and serve on a platter. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
