Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 250 g flour
  • 70 g cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 30 g sunflower seeds

Party pastries to tuck into

Make a dough from butter, flour, sour cream, cheese, and spices. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3-5 mm (1/2-2/32 inch). Special “cheese foot” cookie cutters are available at well-stocked home goods stores. Of course, any other cookie shape will work as well. Cut out the dough with these cutters and place them on a prepared baking sheet. Mix the egg yolk with milk and brush the cut-out dough with it. Place the sunflower seeds on the toenails as “toenails.” Bake for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
