Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g butter
  • 150 g Gruyère and Appenzeller cheese, grated
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 125 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Let the butter soften. Mix in the grated cheese. Dissolve the salt in the water and add it, then stir in the sifted flour and knead everything into a dough. Let it rest for half an hour. Form the dough into finger-thick rolls. Cut off small pieces and shape them into balls (about the size of a hazelnut). Bake with a pretzel iron. You should get about 80 pretzels.
