Cheese rice

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g rice
  • salt water
  • 1 bag of cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 100 g ham, raw or cooked, diced
  • 1 small onion(s), diced
  • Spice(s) of your choice
  • some butter or oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

incredibly simple, but totally delicious

Cook the rice in salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, fry the ham cubes and onion in butter or oil. Add the ham cubes and onion pieces to the cooked rice and mix everything with the Gouda. Add enough Gouda until the cheese is nicely stringy. I personally don’t like it, but if you like, you can add more seasoning. Pepper and sweet paprika, for example, work well. If I’m feeling really lazy, I just mix Gouda into the cooked rice and leave out the onions and ham; even that tastes great!
