Cheese spaetzle with corn and ham

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g spaetzle
  • 200 g grated cheese (e.g. Emmental)
  • 450 g corn
  • 400g mozzarella
  • 270 g cooked ham (back-cooked ham)
  • Salt
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the spaetzle in salted water. In the meantime, you can finely chop the mozzarella and ham. When the spaetzle are ready, add them to a pan and fry in hot oil. I personally like them nice and crispy, but you can do it any way you like. Then add the mozzarella and let it melt. Then add the corn and ham and fry briefly. Finally, stir in the grated cheese, let it melt, and you’re done. Unfortunately, this dish isn’t very weight-bearing, but we enjoy eating it.
