Cheese Steak on Skewer

The perfect cheese steak on skewer recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 0,5 Pc. White bread
  • 200 g Cheese
  • 450 g Steak
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  • 1 Pc. Red peppers
  • 1 Pc. Green peppers
  • 1 Pc Onion
  • Sweet Chili Sauce
  1. Hollow out half of the white bread square with a knife.
  2. Cut off the bark from the removed block and roll the rest of it flat with a rolling pin.
  3. Place the hollowed-out half of the bread upright on a piece of baking paper, use half of the flattened inside of the bread as the base.
  4. Take the cheese slices and use them to line the bread inside.
  5. Cut the steak into slices, season with salt and pepper. Wash the peppers, quarter them, remove the partitions and the core with the seeds. Peel and quarter the onion and separate the individual layers.
  6. Sear the pieces of meat in the oil, remove them. Do the same with the pepper quarters, season with salt and pepper. Finally, fry the onions in the frying fat until translucent and also season with salt and pepper.
  7. Now layer the meat, bell pepper, onions and cheese alternately in the bread. Finish with the remaining rolled inside of the bread and cover the bread with cheese.
  8. Bake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  9. Pierce six kebab skewers at the same distance from above, divide the bread around them to make six skewers.
  10. Garnish with the chili sauce.
