Cheese Tart with Herbs

The perfect cheese tart with herbs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Potatoes
  • 30 g Butter
  • 75 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 50 g Streaky bacon
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Sage leaves
  • Fresh thyme
  • 250 g Mozzarella
  1. Wash the potatoes and cook in the skin for about 20 minutes. Drain, peel, mash and pass through a sieve. Mix the mashed potatoes with the butter and the creme fraiche. Cut the bacon into small cubes, fold in, season with salt and pepper. Wash the herbs, shake dry, roughly chop and mix with the mashed potatoes. Fill the mixture into 4 fireproof molds (approx. 10 cm .dm). Cut the cheese into slices, cover the potato mixture with it and bake the tartlets in the grill for 8-10 minutes. Serve while still hot.
