Cheese Tortilla Bowl
The perfect cheese tortilla bowl recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the bowl:
- 1 Pc. Tortillas
For the meat:
- 60 ml Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1 tbsp Paprika powder
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Lime juice
- 200 g Steak
For the sauce:
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1 Pc. Onion
- 2 Pc. Garlic cloves
- 2 Pc. Chilli green
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 240 ml Milk
- 400 g Cheddar cheese
- Tortilla chips
- 1 Pc. Tomato
- 70 gr Guacamole
- 1 tbsp Sour cream
- Coriander
For the bowl:
- Place the tortilla on an upturned bowl of about the same size. Press a second bowl, the same size as the first, onto the tortilla so that it is wedged between the bowls.
- Bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.
For the meat:
- Add the spices to the oil and stir well.
- Turn the meat well and leave to marinate for one hour.
- Remove the meat from the marinade and sear it on both sides. Cut into slices and set aside.
For the sauce:
- Dice the onion, green chilli and the garlic cloves.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the diced vegetables.
- Pour the flour on top, let it brown while stirring and rinse with the milk.
- Let everything simmer until the flour and milk have combined to form a thick mass.
- Melt the cheddar in the mixture while stirring.
- Place the tortilla chips on a plate, place the tortilla bowl on top and fill with the sauce.
- Place the pieces of meat, a tomato cut into pieces, the guacamole, the sour cream and a few leaves of coriander on top.
