Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 cake base (Viennese base, dark)
- 2 bananas (straight if possible)
- 3 jars of morello cherries
- 4 packs of cake glaze, red
- 2 packs of cream powder (mousse au chocolate, dark)
- 1 pack of cream powder (mousse au chocolate, light)
Instructions
Working time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Either buy the Viennese layer pre-cut or bake it yourself. Cut it into 3 layers. Drain the morello cherries and let them drain well, reserving some of the juice for the glaze. Mix both types of chocolate mousse (you can, of course, make your own if you have the time—otherwise, ready-made mixes will work too) as directed on the package and chill. Peel the bananas and quarter them lengthwise. Place the bottom Viennese layer on a cake plate and place a cake ring around it. Arrange 4 banana pieces in a star shape and generously fill the gaps with half of the morello cherries. Mix the glaze according to the package instructions and pour half of it over the layer until everything is covered. Carefully place the next Viennese layer on top. Layer in the same way as the first layer and pour the glaze over it as well. Place the last layer on top. Let the whole thing cool for about 15 minutes and carefully remove the cake ring. Now cover the entire cake with dark mousse and decorate with the light mousse as desired. Chill everything again until ready to serve. Once finished, this is a very impressive cake.
