Cherry – Chocolate – Cake with Nuts

The perfect cherry – chocolate – cake with nuts recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Soft butter
  • 180 g Sugar white
  • 2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 3 tablespoon Rum
  • 7 Free range eggs
  • 200 g Ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g Chocolate shavings dark
  • 100 Milliliters Milk
  • 1 glass Sour cherries
  • 1 pinch Salt
  1. Pour the sour cherries into a sieve and let them drain.
  2. Separate five eggs and set aside the egg whites. Beat the egg yolks, the two full eggs, butter, sugar and rum in a mixing bowl until frothy. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in the cinnamon.
  3. Now stir in the nuts and the grated chocolate. Beat the egg white until stiff and fold in carefully. Put the dough in a prepared springform pan and smooth it out. Spread the sour cherries on the cake.
  4. Place the cake in the (fan-assisted) oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for approx. 55 – 60 minutes. (Stick sample) After the baking time, take it out of the oven, let it cool down for 20 minutes, remove the edge and let it cool down.
