Ingredients
 

  • 250 g Low fat quark
  • 1 Egg
  • 125 ml Vegetable oil
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 400 g Flour (type 405)
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • For covering
  • 3 glasses Sour cherries
  • 50 g Almonds
  • For the sprinkles
  • 100 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 200 g Flour (type 405)
  • 1 Egg yolk

Instructions
 

  • Preparation 1: Allow the quark to drain to about 200 g (ideally put on a clean kitchen towel, twist it together). Mix the drained quark with the egg, oil, sugar and salt. Mix flour with baking powder and gradually stir into the mixture. Wrap the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. In the meantime, either pit the fresh cherries or drain them from the glass.
  • Knead the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, baking powder and egg yolk to form sprinkles, roll out the dough on a floured work surface to the size of a tray and place on the greased baking sheet. Spread the cherries, crumble and almond slivers on top. Bake the cake on the middle rack.
