Cherry Curd Balls

The perfect cherry curd balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Flour
  • 250 g Vanilla sugar -from my KB-
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 4 Eggs
  • 500 g Quark
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • —————————————
  • 1 glass Cherries Morello cherries
  • Oil
  • Vanilla sugar from my KB
  1. Knead the first 6 ingredients into a dough.
  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan.
  1. Drain the cherries.
  1. Shape dough balls (with 2 spoons or your hands) and press a cherry into each ball. Bake in the oil until they are brown (turn the temperature down!)
  1. Let the balls drip onto kitchen paper and toss in the vanilla sugar.
  1. TIP: You can also use normal sugar for the dough and for rolling, then simply add a packet of vanilla sugar to the dough.
