Cherry Curd Cake

The perfect cherry curd cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough:

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 packet Dry yeast
  • 25 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 50 g Butter
  • 100 ml Warm milk

For covering:

  • 1 Glass Sour cherries
  • 500 g Quark
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice

For the dough:

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl.
  2. Add the dry yeast and mix.
  3. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg.
  4. Add the butter and milk and knead everything well.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough in a springform pan.

For covering:

  1. Drain the sour cherries well and spread them on the dough.
  2. Put the quark in a bowl.
  3. Add milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice and stir.
  4. Pour the quark mixture over the cherries.
  5. Bake at 180 degrees top and bottom heat for about 40 minutes.
