Cherry Curd Cake
The perfect cherry curd cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 250 g Flour
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 25 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Egg
- 50 g Butter
- 100 ml Warm milk
For covering:
- 1 Glass Sour cherries
- 500 g Quark
- 100 ml Milk
- 3 Eggs
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 tbsp Lemon juice
For the dough:
- Sift the flour into a bowl.
- Add the dry yeast and mix.
- Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg.
- Add the butter and milk and knead everything well.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough in a springform pan.
For covering:
- Drain the sour cherries well and spread them on the dough.
- Put the quark in a bowl.
- Add milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice and stir.
- Pour the quark mixture over the cherries.
- Bake at 180 degrees top and bottom heat for about 40 minutes.
