- 900 g cherries
- 1 grapefruit(s) (approx. 300 g)
- 1 kg gelling sugar
- 2 tbsp cherry liqueur

Wash the cherries, drain, remove the stems, pit, and chop them. Peel the grapefruits with a knife, removing all the white pith. Scoop out the flesh and cut into small pieces. You should have about 1 kg of pulp (cherries and grapefruit). Combine the cherries and grapefruit pieces with the gelling sugar, bring to a boil, and simmer gently for about 6 minutes. Stir in the cherry liqueur. Skim the jam if necessary. Then pour the hot jam into well-cleaned jars and seal with lids. This yields about 2 kg of jam.
