Cherry muffins

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 30 g sugar
  • 200 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp bitter almond flavoring, or 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 50 ml vegetable oil, neutral
  • 100 g sour cherries / morello cherries
  • 30 g hazelnuts, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix all ingredients except the cherries thoroughly, then carefully fold in the cherries. Preheat oven to 200°C and fill a muffin tin/paper baking cups 3/4 full with the batter. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes and let cool thoroughly. If desired, you can also glaze the muffins. Simply mix 100g of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of cherry juice and spread it on the cooled muffins. Delicious and moist!
