Chestnut Mashed Potatoes
The perfect chestnut mashed potatoes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 700 g Potatoes
- 400 g Chestnuts
- Vegetable broth
- 1 Shot Milk
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Nutmeg
- Cut the chestnuts cross-shaped with a sharp knife and simmer in salted water for about 10 minutes.
- Peel and chop the potatoes and cook them in the vegetable stock.
- Drain the chestnuts, remove the skin, add to the drained potatoes and season everything with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
- Add the milk and butter, use a potato masher to form a coarse puree and serve.
- I served the chestnut mashed potatoes with meatballs and a mushroom sauce.
