Chicken BBQ Sandwiches

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 slices of toast
  • 300 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • n. B. Pickled gherkin(s), sliced, from the jar
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • n. B. fried onions
  • BBQ sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut the chicken into pieces or strips, fry, and season with salt and pepper. Then remove the cooked meat from the pan and marinate it in BBQ sauce. Toast the bread. Then assemble the sandwiches from three slices of toast as follows: Spread half of the chicken on the bottom slice of toast, add a lettuce leaf and pickles, place a second slice of toast on top and spread with BBQ sauce. Then add fried onions and another layer of pickles, and finish with the last slice of toast.
