Chicken breast in bacon-Parmesan cream sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken breast fillets
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 pack of bacon (bacon strips), approx. 250 g
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 pack of Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups of cream, approx. 200 g each
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, approx. 150 g
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wash and dry the chicken breast fillets. Grate all the Parmesan cheese. Dice the onion. Mix 3 tablespoons of Parmesan with the flour, salt, and pepper, and toss the chicken breast fillets in it. Heat the oil in a large, deep frying pan; do not overheat, or the chicken breast will become tough. Fry the fillets slowly and remove from the pan. Brown the bacon in the remaining fat. After a few minutes, add the diced onion and fry until the bacon is nice and crispy. Add the cream, crème fraîche, and the remaining Parmesan cheese, and simmer gently for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the chicken breast fillets to the sauce and simmer gently for a few more minutes. Serve with Turkish rice, for example.
