  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger, approx. walnut-sized
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp, leveled turmeric
  • 1 tsp, leveled coriander powder
  • 1 tsp, crushed paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours

If you like, you can separate the thighs and drumsticks beforehand, or just use the thighs or drumsticks. First, mix the soy sauce and oil with the spices, then add the thighs and onion. If the marinade is too thick, mix in a little oil and/or soy sauce. Marinate in the refrigerator for about 2 hours. Place the thighs skin-side down in a roasting tin, add the onion around them, and place in an oven preheated to 180°C (convection oven). After 25 minutes, remove the thighs and stir in the chopped tomatoes. Now place the thighs skin-side up on the sauce and return to the oven for another 25 minutes. Remove the thighs and season the sauce with salt and pepper, if desired. Serve with French fries, rice, or a baguette.
