Chicken fillet filled with Munster cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 100 g cheese (Münster), room temperature
  • 2 slice(s) bacon or ham
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Flour
  • breadcrumbs
  • n. B. Pfeffer
  • n. B. Salt
  • e.g. cumin or caraway
  • Clarified butter or oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cordon bleu a little different

Cut a pocket into the fillets, unfold, and flatten between cling film. Top with bacon or ham (preferably smoked). Spread the Münster on top and season with caraway seeds. Fold over and season with salt and pepper. Crack the egg into a bowl, then coat the schnitzels in flour, then dip in the egg, and coat with breadcrumbs. Heat clarified butter or oil until very hot and fry the schnitzels until golden brown.
