Chicken fingers with honey mustard sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 300 g cornflakes, preferably unsweetened, crushed
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard
  • 2 tsp, leveled sour cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Thoroughly mix the egg whites with 1 teaspoon of honey, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cut the chicken breast into 2 cm wide strips and roll them in the mixture. Coat the chicken breast strips in the crushed cornflakes. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, for the sauce, combine the mustard, honey, and sour cream and season with salt and pepper to create a thick dip. Serve the chicken fingers with the dip. Serve with sweet potato fries.
