Chicken in chocolate tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s) or turkey schnitzel
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 small can of tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 pinch of chili powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 30 g chocolate shavings, dark
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Balsamic vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Chop the onion and garlic cloves and sauté in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Briefly sauté the canned tomatoes and tomato paste, season with chili (add more if you like it hotter). Stir in the grated chocolate and peanut butter and simmer over low heat (add a little more water if the canned tomatoes aren’t very juicy). Season to taste with salt, sugar, and balsamic vinegar. Season the chicken breast fillets to taste and fry in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Serve with the sauce.
