Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g chicken or turkey
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Dice the onion and finely chop or press the garlic. Depending on your preference, you can leave the chicken or turkey in large pieces or chop it up. In a large bowl (big enough to hold the meat), combine the oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar/honey, tomato paste, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Then add the onion and garlic and stir to combine. Finally, add the meat to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade, ensuring the marinade is evenly distributed. The meat should be marinated for at least an hour, but preferably several hours or overnight. Then, fry the meat in a pan with all of the marinade. The cooking time depends on the size of the pieces.
