Chicken schnitzel with tomato sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken schnitzels (120 g each)
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 150 ml milk
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tbsp parsley

Season the chicken schnitzels with salt and pepper, fry them vigorously in the oil, and then set aside. Dice the onion and slice the mushrooms. Add them to the pan (in which the meat was already browned) and fry. Deglaze with the passata and stir in the mustard. Place the schnitzels on top and cook with the lid closed for another 10 minutes. Then remove the schnitzels and pour the milk into the tomato sauce. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and parsley and serve with pasta or rice.
