Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g chicken breasts, fresh or frozen (then thawed)
- 2 eggs
- 180 g breadcrumbs
- 60 g flour
- 65 ml milk
- 2 tsp oregano, dried
- 2 tsp basil, dried
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 liter of oil for frying

First, cut the chicken breast into strips about 2-3 cm wide. Whisk together the eggs and milk. Weigh out the flour separately and set aside in a small bowl. Season the breadcrumbs with all the specified herbs and spices. First, coat the meat strips in flour, then dip them in the egg-milk mixture and then coat them in the breadcrumbs. Cook or deep-fry the prepared strips in a deep fryer or other pot with 190°C hot oil for about 10 minutes until golden brown. After draining on kitchen paper, the chicken snacks can be arranged on a platter with lettuce leaves, tomatoes, and cucumber garnish. A fruit sauce made from tart fruits also tastes very good. Serve with baguette or toast as a side dish.
