Chicken strips orange – cinnamon

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g chicken, shredded
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 dl orange juice, preferably freshly squeezed
  • 1 ½ dl broth
  • 3 tbsp cream
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion. Brown the chicken breast in the hot butter. Add the onion and cinnamon sticks and fry. Dust with flour and stir to combine. Deglaze with orange juice and broth, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Add the cream and season with salt and pepper. Remove the cinnamon sticks if desired. I serve this with wild rice and broccoli with toasted almond flakes.
