Chicken strips with mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 40 g fat (margarine or oil)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • rice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, cook the rice in salted water!!! Follow the package instructions! (Drain and keep warm until the strips are ready.) Cut the meat into large pieces or, if desired, into strips. Peel and dice the onion(s). Clean and slice the mushrooms. Heat the fat in a pan. Brown the meat. (Remove if necessary and keep warm.) After 5 minutes, add the mushrooms and sauté. Season to taste and cook. (Reheat at 0°C for 5 minutes.) Stir in the crème fraîche and season again. Serve with the rice.
