Chicken thighs in tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 chicken legs
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), pressed
  • ½ cup(s) olive oil
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 cup(s) white wine , t
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground
  • oregano
  • Sugar
  • Parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the chicken thighs and pat dry. Then rub with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a roasting pan or large frying pan and fry the chicken thighs until golden brown. Remove from the pan and keep warm. In the remaining fat, fry the onion until translucent and briefly fry the garlic clove. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, and sugar. Sprinkle with the parsley and pour in the white wine. Return the chicken pieces to the pan, making sure they are just covered with the sauce. Bring everything to a boil and simmer with the lid on over low heat for about 45-60 minutes. Season to taste before serving. Serve with rice or pasta.
