Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 m.-sized onion(s)
- 20 g coconut oil, mild
- 250 g chickpea flour
- 1 tsp salt
- pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Water
- Coconut oil or coconut fat for frying

Brown the diced onion in coconut oil and then let it cool. Place the chickpea flour in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder and mix all the dry ingredients together. Now add enough water until you have a nice, smooth dough that’s easy to stir—that’s why the quantities are missing. Let everything rest for a while, about 15 minutes. Mix the dough again well. If it’s too thick, add a little water and mix well. Heat coconut oil in a pan and spoon the dough into the pan, frying on both sides. Note on coconut oil and coconut fat: If you don’t like the taste of coconut oil, simply use a different fat or oil. Organic coconut fat is available in small jars at health food stores.
