Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 20 g coconut oil, mild
  • 250 g chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Water
  • Coconut oil or coconut fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

vegan, wholesome

Brown the diced onion in coconut oil and then let it cool. Place the chickpea flour in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder and mix all the dry ingredients together. Now add enough water until you have a nice, smooth dough that’s easy to stir—that’s why the quantities are missing. Let everything rest for a while, about 15 minutes. Mix the dough again well. If it’s too thick, add a little water and mix well. Heat coconut oil in a pan and spoon the dough into the pan, frying on both sides. Note on coconut oil and coconut fat: If you don’t like the taste of coconut oil, simply use a different fat or oil. Organic coconut fat is available in small jars at health food stores.
