Chicory and Tuna Salad

The perfect chicory and tuna salad recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Can Tuna
  • 3 tablespoon Vinegar
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar
  • Nutmeg
  • Oil
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Turnip white
  • 2 piston Chicory
  • 2 piston Dill
  1. Drain the tuna and set aside
  2. Season the vinegar with salt, pepper, sugar and nutmeg and finally stir in the oil
  3. Peel the carrots and turnips and cut both into fine strips, add to the sauce.
  4. Remove the bitter stalk from the chicoree, cut into narrow strips, finely chop the dill and add everything to the salad with the tuna.
  5. Let the salad steep for 30 minutes and season again if necessary.
  6. I like to eat the salad in the evening as a low-carbohydrate dinner, but if you want you can also eat a slice of bread with it – enjoy your meal; 🙂
