Chili cheese fries with minced meat

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 5 m.-sized potatoes
  • 200 g minced meat
  • ¼ tube(s) Tomato paste
  • 3 slice(s) Scheibletten (processed cheese slices)
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Chili powder or a fresh chili pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Sunflower oil

Chili con Carne style

Bring the potatoes to a boil in a pot with water and salt and cook for about 10 minutes. They should still be somewhat firm. Brown the minced meat. Season well with salt, pepper, chili, and paprika. Preheat the oven to 180-200°C. Peel the potatoes and cut into strips or fries. Arrange the potatoes on a baking tray, season well with salt, and spread a little oil evenly over them. Place in the oven at 180-200°C. Add the finely chopped shallots to the well-fried minced meat, fry briefly, and then add the tomato paste. Stir in a splash of water. Toss the fries in the oven. Rinse the kidney beans and add them to the minced meat. Season the mixture to taste. The fries should be golden brown in the meantime. Remove the minced meat mixture from the heat and pour over the fries. Sprinkle the sliced ​​cheese over the potatoes and place in the oven for about 5 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
