Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g seitan flour (Seitanfix)
  • 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • 400 g beans (cannellini beans), from the can
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Vegan meat substitute with seitan fix

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Drain the beans and combine them with the remaining wet ingredients in a blender. Add them to the dry ingredients and mix well. Divide the dough and form into two sausages. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and twist the ends tightly. Steam in the steamer basket for 1 hour. Turn halfway through. Let cool and enjoy immediately or freeze.
