Chili oil – homemade

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 chili peppers, fresh
  • 1 chili pepper(s), dried or PiriPiri
  • 2 tbsp pepper, whole grains

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

From a full oil bottle, fill a measuring jug with about half the oil. Score the chili peppers along the side with a sharp knife and place them in the bottle. Peel the garlic and add it as well. Add the peppercorns. Now pour in the removed oil. Leave the bottle open for a day or two, adding a little more oil every now and then, as the chili peppers absorb the oil and you don’t want any air in it.
