Chili – Quince

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g quince(s)
  • 300 ml water
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 chili pepper(s), red
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 lime(s), the juice
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Rub the quinces with a dry kitchen towel and wash them. Peel, quarter, and core the quinces. Dice the quarters. (The peels and cores can be used to make a liqueur.) Bring the quinces and the remaining ingredients to a boil and simmer over low heat until the quinces are tender. Transfer the chili quinces to preheated jars and seal immediately.
