Chinese cabbage – pineapple – salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g sunflower seeds
  • 1 small head of Chinese cabbage
  • 1 pineapple
  • 1 cup of yogurt, 3.5%
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • e.g. maple syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Simply delicious

Roast the sunflower seeds in a pan without fat. Let cool. Wash and trim the Chinese cabbage, and cut into strips. Peel the pineapple, remove the core, and cut into small cubes. Mix everything together. Season the yogurt with lemon juice and maple syrup and drizzle over the salad just before serving. Sprinkle the sunflower seeds over the salad. Tip: Don’t let the salad stand for long, as this can make it taste bitter, as the fresh pineapple contains a protein-splitting enzyme that breaks down the protein in the yogurt. Alternatively, you can also use a large (500 ml) bottle of Sylter salad dressing, which tastes even more delicious.
