Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g savoy cabbage
- 125 g pork strips
- 5 g garlic
- 5 g ginger
- 5 g spring onion(s)
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- salt and pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Cut the savoy cabbage into thin strips, wash, and set aside. Then cut the pork into small cubes and season with salt and pepper. Finely chop the garlic and ginger, and finely slice the white part of the spring onion. Heat the oil in a wok or pan and fry the garlic, ginger, spring onion, and meat. Do not set the temperature too high so the garlic does not burn. Add the soy sauce to the wok or pan. Cook everything with the lid closed and over medium heat until the meat is cooked through. Now add the savoy cabbage. Close the lid so it can collapse. You may need to add the savoy cabbage in two or three batches. Stir in and let the cabbage soften, then season with salt and soy sauce to taste. We eat this dish with rice. In China, this is just one of many dishes on the lavishly laid table.
