Chocolate Baileys Cake

The perfect chocolate baileys cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Dough:
  • 140 g Cooking chocolate
  • 30 g Margarine
  • 4 Eggs
  • 80 g Sugar
  • 120 g Flour
  • 1 Tl Baking powder
  • Cream:
  • 750 g Whipped cream
  • 3 P Cream stiffener
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 3 P Vanilla sugar
  • 200 ml Baileys
  • Further:
  • 200 g Cherry jam
  • 150 ml Whipped cream
  • Chocolate flakes
  • 12 piece Toffifee
  1. Melt the chocolate and margarine in a water bath and allow to cool a little. Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with 20g sugar until stiff. Mix the egg yolks with 3 tablespoons of warm water and the remaining 60g sugar until frothy. Carefully fold in the egg whites. Mix flour with baking powder and fold in as well. Finally, there is the chocolate. Pour into a greased springform pan and bake at 160 ° C (preheated – convection) for about 25 minutes. Remove from the mold and let cool down.
  1. Cut the biscuit once horizontally and coat the bottom with jam. Beat the whipped cream with the whipped cream, sugar and vanilla sugar until stiff. Subject 150ml Baileys. Spread two thirds of the bailey cream on the base and put the second base on top. Sprinkle this with the rest of the liqueur. Spread the rest of the cream all around and on top. Chill the cake for 3 hours (preferably overnight).
  1. Whip the whipped cream (150ml) until stiff and use a piping bag to dress the cake. Decorate with chocolate flakes and toffifee.
