Chocolate Christmas tree

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 rolls of topping dough from the refrigerated section
  • 4 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

Roll out a sheet of puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Use a knife to score the shape of a Christmas tree into the dough. Spread the dough with Nutella using a tablespoon. Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top of the Nutella-covered puff pastry and cut into the shape of the Christmas tree along the Nutella. Remove the remaining pastry and use a knife to cut outward-facing strips, approximately the width of a knife. Twist the strips twice and brush the entire Christmas tree with beaten egg. Bake for 12 minutes at 200°C (fan oven). Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy while still warm.
