chocolate cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g butter or margarine
  • 300 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g cocoa powder
  • 100 g chocolate, finely grated
  • 700 g flour, approx., possibly more
  • 2 tbsp rum or 2 bottles of rum flavoring

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Mix the butter, sugar, and eggs thoroughly with a mixer. Then add the remaining ingredients and knead by hand. If the dough doesn’t form a nice dough, add a little more flour. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the dough and cut into cookies as desired. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place in the hot oven and bake for about 10 minutes. Tip: I always double the amount of dough; it’s worth it then—because the cookies always go quickly anyway.
