Chocolate crunchy muesli

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g almonds, slivered or halved
  • 200 g flakes (soy flakes)
  • 150 g sunflower seeds
  • 80 g sesame seeds
  • 80 g desiccated coconut
  • 100 g flaxseed
  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 50 ml water
  • 8 tbsp honey
  • 200 g chocolate, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 100°C. Dissolve the honey and butter in the water. Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix with the honey and water. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake for 2 hours, until all the liquid has evaporated. Stir the mixture occasionally. For a crispier finish, continue baking at 150°C for another half hour. Once the muesli has cooled, stir again and add the chopped chocolate. It will keep for a while in a sealed container. Tip: I usually divide the mixture, adding half chocolate and the other half caramel pieces or dried fruit. You can also replace the soy flakes with spelt flakes.
