Chocolate mug cake with a liquid center

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp oil, e.g. sunflower oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Nutella or similar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 12 minutes

for the microwave

Mix all ingredients, except the Nutella, together. Once you have a smooth batter, pour it into a large mug or small bowl and add the Nutella to the center of the batter. This will serve as the liquid core. Then place the mug in the microwave for 90-120 seconds at approximately 750 watts. The mug cake will have a brownie consistency, so it will still be a bit mushy. After microwaving, let the mug cake cool for about 1 minute.
