Chocolate Pancakes with Chocolate Sauce
The perfect chocolate pancakes with chocolate sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Chocolate sauce
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 350 ml Milk
- 3 tbsp Liquid butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 200 g Flour
- 30 g Cocoa powder
- 2,5 tsp Baking powder
- 100 g Chocolate shavings
- 200 g Chocolate
- 25 ml Cream
- Separate the egg yolk from the egg white. Set the egg whites aside.
- Whisk egg yolks with sugar and milk.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in.
- Carefully stir in the liquid butter and vanilla extract.
- In a large bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder finely. Add baking powder.
- Add the milk and egg mixture and stir everything well. Fold in the chocolate shavings. Let the dough rest for 15–20 minutes.
- Bake the dough into small pancakes in a lightly greased pan.
Chocolate sauce
- For the chocolate sauce, put the cream and chocolate in a bowl and melt in the microwave on medium heat.
- Serve the pancakes with the chocolate sauce.
