Chocolate Pudding (homemade)

The perfect chocolate pudding (homemade) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

possibly as a taste kick

  • 50 g Dark couverture
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 30 g Food starch
  • 20 g Baking cocoa
  • 20 ml Russian chocolate

Note on the “taste kick”

  1. Russian chocolate is a chocolate liqueur with 36% alcohol by volume (e.g. available as 2x40ml packs at Kaufland). Alcohol evaporates when heated, but I still wanted to mention that it may be left out in children or dry alcoholics. Of course, the pudding tastes very tasty even without the Russian chocolate;)

preparation

  1. Heat 350ml milk, chop the couverture into small pieces and dissolve it in the milk with the sugar.
  2. Mix 150ml milk with the starch and cocoa. As soon as the chocolate milk boils, stir in the starch milk (and possibly the Russian chocolate). Bring to the boil again and cook for 1 minute while stirring and allow to thicken.
  3. Remove from the stove and fill into bowls or similar if necessary. Why or enjoy cold.

Tip for serving

  1. If you rinse the bowls with cold water beforehand, the pudding can be turned out more easily after it has cooled down.
