Chocolate – Rum – Cream

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g double cream
  • 100 g chocolate, dark chocolate
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp dark rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Break the dark chocolate into pieces and heat it with the double cream and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the chocolate has melted. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the rum. Serve hot as a dessert sauce or enjoy chilled as a spread on bread. Tip: This sauce makes a great gift: Pour the sauce into a screw-top jar while it’s still hot, seal it tightly, and refrigerate immediately. Store the sauce in the refrigerator.
