Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g semi-sweet chocolate
  • 50 g butter
  • 60 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g flour, sifted
  • Powdered sugar to roll the snowballs in

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours

our family’s favorite chocolate cookies

Melt the chocolate and butter in a saucepan. Mix all ingredients, including the chocolate-butter mixture, thoroughly with a hand mixer and refrigerate in a bowl for at least 2 hours (the dough will be very soft, which is normal). Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). (!) This is important, otherwise the decorative cracks won’t appear and they will become a bit firmer. Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and roll them in powdered sugar. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 170°C (340°F) for about 14 minutes. Store in an airtight container. They taste best after 3-4 days… (if they haven’t been eaten by then…)
