also
- 1 packet Dry yeast
- 70 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 180 ml Milk lukewarm
- 30 g Soft or melted butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 150 g Chocolate spread of your choice
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon Milk
- First mix the flour with the yeast, a pinch of salt and the sugar. Add the milk, butter and eggs and knead the dough by hand or with a food processor to a smooth mass.
- Put some oil in another bowl and roll the dough lightly in it so that it is completely covered with it. Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for about 2-3 hours.
- After the resting time, knead the dough on a floured work surface and shape it into a roll. Meanwhile, lightly melt the chocolate spread in a warm water bath so that it can be spread better.
- Cut the roll into four equal parts, roll out part of the mixture into a round flat cake and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the flatbread with some of the chocolate. Then roll out the second flatbread, place it on top of the first and coat with chocolate again. Also roll out the third flatbread, place it on the second and coat with chocolate. Now comes the fourth flatbread, this is rolled out and placed on top as the last layer. But do not coat any more!
- Using a glass, mark the center with a small circle. From the outside to the marked circle, quarter – cut. The quarters are subdivided again – incised. Cut through the resulting parts again up to the circle, so that there are a total of 16 subdivisions.
- Now turn two parts outwards and turn them together slightly at the end. Repeat until the star is finished.
- Finally, brush the star with whisked egg yolk and milk mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. During this time the star can rest again. Then bake the star at 180 ° C O / U heat for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven until the desired color.
