Chocolate tart with apricot filling

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 150 g flour
  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • 80 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Fat for the mold
  • 200 g apricot(s), dried
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g chocolate coating, whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Knead all the dough ingredients together thoroughly. Then refrigerate for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough and place it in a greased tart or fruitcake tin. Bake the base at 220°C for 10-15 minutes. For the filling, finely chop the dried apricots. Combine the water and lemon juice in a saucepan, add the apricot pieces, and simmer until a puree-like mixture forms. Spread the apricot mixture over the base. Mix the eggs and sugar together. Melt the chocolate coating with butter and carefully mix it into the egg and sugar mixture. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the apricots. Bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes.
