Ingredients for 4 persons

  • potato skewers
  • 4 potatoes, waxy
  • 100g bacon, streaky & smoked
  • 200 grams of tomatoes
  • 100g onions
  • 1 red pepper
  • Salt pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon curry
  • 1 pinch of chili flakes, dried
  • 1/4 tsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 skewers

Chops

  • 2 onions
  • 3 tablespoons mustard, medium hot
  • 200ml beer, e.g. Pils
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 pinch of raw cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 pork chops

Preparation

Potato skewers

  1. Wash the potatoes and cook in boiling water for 10 minutes, drain, allow to cool slightly, peel, and cut into 20 pieces. Cut bacon crossways into 16 slices. Quarter the tomatoes, and remove the stems and seeds. Peel and quarter the onions. Halve the peppers, remove the stalk, seeds, and partitions, then cut them into pieces.
  2. Then thread the prepared ingredients alternately onto the skewers. Mix the spices with the oil and brush the skewers with it, grill in an aluminum grill tray on the preheated grill for about 10 minutes, turning.

Chops

  1. Peel and cut onions into rings. Mix mustard, beer, salt, pepper, sugar, and parsley until smooth. Mix in the onion rings. Toss the chops in it and marinate covered in the fridge for 2 hours, turning occasionally.
  2. Lift the chops out of the marinade, drain, season with salt and pepper, and grill for about 8-10 minutes on each side. Brush frequently with the marinade.
