Chops in paprika and onion sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oil or clarified butter
  • Salt
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • some flour
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Rub the chops with a little salt and coat in flour. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 2 tablespoons of oil or clarified butter in a pan. Fry the chops for about 3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chops and keep warm in the oven. Finely slice the onion and fry in the hot fat. Remove the pan from the heat and sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of paprika. Stir in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and add 200g of crème fraîche. Bring the sauce to a boil briefly. Add the chops and let stand for about 2 minutes. This goes very well with mashed potatoes and beans or simply with some crusty baguette.
